SSC GD Job Profile

The responsibilities of a Constable GD in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF),Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), SashastraSeemaBal (SSB), National Investigation Agency (NIA), Special Security Force (SSF) are given below.

• After you are selected, you will be posted as a Guard or Escort.
• You will be supervised directly by the SHO and you have to obey his orders and duties.
• You will be in-charge of all activities in the absence of Assistant Sub-Inspector and Sub-Inspector.
• You will have the right to investigate any case if the Sub-Inspector asks you to do so.
• You may also be asked to perform the duty of a Station Writer in rural or urban areas.
• If you are promoted to the post of Head Constable, then you will be in charge of police stations.

Certain promotions are given on the basis of performance in departmental exam while certain are given on the service. The time period is different for all departments. The promotion of a GD Constable are as follows:

SSC GD 2018 Exam Dates

SSC GD Notification 2018 has been released on 21st July 2018 by Staff Selection Commission of India. The Online Application Process will start from 24th July. Exam Dates to be notified later by Staff Selection Commission of India.

SSC GD Vacancy 2018

The entire recruitment process of SSC GD 2018 will be completed in four stages: Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), computer based test and at the last the medical test.

SSC GD 2018 Exam Pattern

SSC GD 2018 will be conducted in three phases:

• Written Exam
• Physical Efficiency Test
• Medical Examination

Theonline written exam constituting of 4 sections to be completed in a time span of 120 minutes. Around 100 questions will be asked carrying 1 mark each. 1/4th of the total mark of a particular question is deducted if attempted wrong by a candidate.
