The UGC NET exam is conducted twice in a year this exam is conducted in all the science & humanities subjects. We conduct weekly test to evaluate the performance level of the students in all the 2 papers of UGC NET exams.
The eligibility for this Test is at least 55% marks in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC in Computer Science, Electronics and Humanities etc. For Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Persons with disability (PWD) category the eligibility is at least 50% marks in Master’s degree or equivalent examinations.
Candidates who have passed out or the candidates who are in the last semester of Master’s degree and whose result is awaited may also apply for the Test. The condition is that such candidates must complete their P.G. degree examination within two years from the date of NET result with required criteria. Provisional admission will be given and candidate shall be considered eligible for award of JRF/Lectureship eligibility after they have passed their Master’s degree examination or equivalent with at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ST/PWD). Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their post-graduation & related subject only.
It is mandatory for the candidates who come under SC/OBC/ST have to submit attested copy of the category Certificate. In case of any ineligibility being detected by the Commission, their admission will be canceled and they will be liable for legal action.
NET/JRF EXAMINATION SCHEDULE:
UGC conducts NET twice a year, i.e., in the months of June/July and December/January.
SCHEME OF TEST:
Paper-1-It consist 50 objective type questions of Reasoning, Comprehension, Divergent Thinking, Teaching Aptitude, Research Methodology and general awareness. Each question is of two marks.
Paper-II shall consist of 100 objective questions related to the optional subject selected by the candidate. Each question is of 2 marks. All questions of this paper are compulsory.
The candidates have to mark answers on Optical Mark Reader (OMR) sheet.
