1. CM of Gujarat started the 17th “Shala Praveshotsav”
◉ Bhupendra Patel, the chief minister of Gujarat, has begun the 17th Shala Praveshotsav.
◉ Goal: To increase the number of pupils enrolled in Gujarat’s primary schools.
◉ The three-day enrollment drive kicks off at Memadpur Primary School in the Banaskantha district’s Vadgam Taluka.

2. G-20 summits will be held in Jammu and Kashmir in 2023.
◉ The G20, a prominent gathering of the major economies of the globe, will have its summit in Jammu & Kashmir in 2023.
◉ A five-person high-level committee has also been established by the J&K administration to oversee the planning of the G20 meetings that will take place in the UT.
◉ In September 2021, Piyush Goyal, the minister of commerce and industry, was chosen to represent India at the G20. On December 1, 2022, India will assume the G20 presidency.

3. The World Bank has approved a $1 billion project in Uttrakhand to expand rain-fed agriculture.
◉ The World Bank has approved rain-fed agriculture in Uttrakhand’s rocky terrain. The cost of the project is Rs. 1 billion.
◉ Reducing greenhouse gas emissions is the goal.
◉ The Uttrakhand climate-responsive rain-fed farming project will be carried out by the watershed department. Additionally, it will promote environmentally sustainable agricultural methods.

4. A digital platform called “Campus Power” was introduced by ICICI Bank for the student ecosystem.
◉ A first-of-its-kind digital platform called “Campus Power” was introduced by ICICI Bank to cater to the demands of students hoping to continue higher education both domestically and overseas. The platform meets the diverse needs of the entire student ecosystem, which includes parents, institutes, and students.
◉ At IIT Kanpur, the first branch has already been established, and seven more will be added to the campuses of prestigious universities all around India.

5. As the next Director of the Intelligence Bureau, Tapan Kumar Deka
◉ The Director of the Intelligence Bureau was appointed by the Central Government as senior IPS officer Tapan Kumar Deka (IB).
◉ He will succeed Arvind Kumar, the current director of intelligence.
◉ Deka is currently in charge of the IB’s Operations Desk.

6. VN Chalasani was appointed by RBI to the Seri group’s advisory panel.
◉ Venkat Nageswar Chalasani was appointed by the RBI to the Seri Equipment Finance and Seri Infrastructure Finance boards (SEFL). After R Subramaniakumar left the advisory council, he was brought in.
◉ He is the State Bank of India’s Deputy MD (SBI).

7. Anil Khanna has been named as the IOA’s interim president.
◉ Anil Khanna was selected by the Delhi High Court to serve as the Indian Olympic Association’s acting president.
◉ He’ll take over for Narinder Batra.

8. CEO of NITI Aayog appointed is Parameswaran Iyer
◉ Parameswaren Iyer, a former official in charge of drinking water and sanitation, has been chosen to lead NITI Aayog for a period of two years.
◉ He’ll take over for Amitabh Kant.

9. The renowned UN Public Service Award was given to the Odisha “Mo Bus” Service.
◉ A major United Nations award has been given to Mo Bus, an Odisha-based public transportation company, in recognition of their contributions to the world’s improved recovery from Covid19.
◉ The transformation of urban public transportation is the goal.
◉ Public service efforts from Thailand, Ukraine, Brazil, Ireland, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Ireland, Panama, and the Philippines were among the other winners of this year’s prizes.

10. Thyomargarita Magnifica, the largest bacteria are known to science,
◉ The largest microbe in the world has been found by scientists, and it can be seen with the naked eye. Its size is comparable to that of an eyelash.
◉ In 2009, researchers discovered the first instance of this bacteria, known as Thiomargarita Magnifica, clinging to submerged mangrove fronds in the Guadeloupe archipelago.

◉ The inaugural Warfare & Aerospace Strategy Program (WASP) by the Indian Air Force culminated in a Capstone Seminar at the Air Force Auditorium in New Delhi.
◉ The College of Air Warfare & Centre for Air Power Studies oversaw the Seminar’s operation. The purpose of this session is to highlight the WSAP learning goals.

◉ Goal – To raise awareness about the risks of drug usage among all age groups, especially children, who are most at risk.
