1. The Delhi government plans to name streets and colonies after Babasaheb Ambedkar.
◉ The Delhi government is planning to rename the city’s colonies and streets “Harijan” in honour of BR Ambedkar.
◉ Social Welfare Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam has put forward a proposal.
◉ The Delhi government works to improve the lives of the city’s SC, ST, and OBC residents.

2. In Raxaul, Bihar, the FSSAI’s National Food Laboratory was inaugurated.
◉ Mr Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Chemicals and Fertilizers, inaugurated the FSSAI’s National Food Laboratory in Raxaul, Bihar.
◉ This laboratory was constructed as part of an Indo-Nepal bilateral agreement to decrease the time it takes to examine food samples imported from Nepal to Raxaul.

3. The first Liquid Mirror Telescope in the country was inaugurated in Uttarakhand.
◉ Atop Devasthal, a hill in Uttarakhand, the country’s first and largest liquid mirror telescope was dedicated.

5. THE ASIA UNIVERSITY RANKINGS 2022: There are four Indian colleges in the top 100, with IISC Bengaluru ranking 42nd.
◉ Higher Education in the Times The Times Higher Education published the Asia University Rankings 2022. (THE).
◉ The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) has maintained its position as the country’s premier institute. It was placed 42nd overall.
◉ JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research debuted at 65th place in the top 100 Asian institutions, followed by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar at 68th and IIT Indore at 87th.

◉ The Reserve Bank of Australia has announced the start of its first worldwide hackathon, “Harbinger 2021 – Innovation for Transformation,” in November 2021, with the topic “Smarter Digital Payments.”
◉ Tone Tag, a trademark of Naffa Innovations Pvt Ltd, was declared the winner in two categories, according to the results.

7. On the Airtel Thanks app, Airtel Payments Bank has teamed with Muthoot Finance to offer gold loans.

8. MS Dhoni invests in Garuda Aerospace, a drone business based in Chennai.
◉ MS Dhoni, the former captain of the Indian cricket team, has invested an unknown sum in Garuda Aerospace, India’s premier drone-as-a-service (DaaS) provider, based in Chennai. He will also serve as the company’s face and brand ambassador.
◉ The investment is part of a bridge deal leading up to a $30 million Series A financing, which creator Agnishwar Jayaprakash announced will close by the end of July at a valuation of $250 million.

12. Two ships of the Indian Navy have been decommissioned. After 32 years of service, INS Nishank and INS Akshay are retiring.
