Part of Speech: Noun

Meaning (English): the language or dialect is spoken by ordinary people in a particular country or region.

Meaning (Odia): ଏକ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦିଷ୍ଟ ଦେଶ କିମ୍ବା ଅଞ୍ଚଳର ସାଧାରଣ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା କଥିତ ଭାଷା ବା ଉପଭାଷା |

Use: If you were caught speaking in vernacular you paid a penny fine.

4-Contravene


Part of Speech: Verb

Meaning (English): violate the prohibition or order of (a law, treaty, or code of conduct).

Meaning (Odia): ଅବହେଳିତ |

Use: Some portions of the bill may contravene state law.

Synonyms: break, breach

Antonyms: obey, follow


5-Babel


Part of Speech: Noun

Meaning (English): a confused noise made by a number of voices.

Meaning (Odia): ଅନେକ ସ୍ୱର ଦ୍ୱାରା ଏକ ଦ୍ୱନ୍ଦ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଶବ୍ଦ |

Use: A babel of voices can be heard.

6-Ticklish


Part of Speech: Adjective

Meaning (English): (of a situation or problem) difficult to deal with; requiring careful handling.

Meaning (Odia): (ଏକ ପରିସ୍ଥିତି କିମ୍ବା ସମସ୍ୟାର) ମୁକାବିଲା କରିବା କଷ୍ଟକର; ଯତ୍ନର ସହ ପରିଚାଳନା କରିବା ଆବଶ୍ୟକ କରେ |

Use: It was becoming a ticklish situation.

Antonyms: easy, simple


7-Epidemiological


Part of Speech: Adjective

Meaning (English): relating to the branch of medicine that deals with the incidence, distribution, and control of diseases

Meaning (Odia): ମହାମାରୀ

Antonyms: over-the-counter drug, prescription medicine

Part of Speech: Adjective

Meaning (English): not resulting from or achieved through deliberate planning.

Meaning (Odia): ସୁଚିନ୍ତିତ ଯୋଜନା ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ଫଳାଫଳ କିମ୍ବା ହାସଲ କରାଯାଇ ନାହିଁ |

Antonyms: careful, cautious


9-Delimitation


Part of Speech: Noun

Meaning (English): the action of fixing the boundary or limits of something.

Meaning (Odia): କିଛିର ସୀମା କିମ୍ବା ସୀମା ସ୍ଥିର କରିବାର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ |

Use: The matter of delimitation needs the two countries to negotiate. It can’t be decided unilaterally.
