1. In Uttar Pradesh’s Agra, the Taj Mahotsav begins.
◉ The Taj Mahotsav in Agra has been opened by Yogendra Upadhyay, minister of higher education for Uttar Pradesh.
◉ The 10-day festival becomes a popular destination for both domestic and international travelers.
◉ The event will include 300 artisans from several states and UTs, including Jammu & Kashmir, West Bengal, Bihar, and Himachal Pradesh.
◉ The Taj Mahotsav in 2023 will have the theme “Vishwa Bandhutva.”

2. Railway Protection Force organized the 18th UIC International Security Congress.
◉ The pink city of India, Jaipur, hosted the opening of the 18th International Security Conference in 2023.
◉ The International Union of Railways, Paris, and the Railway Protection Force are working together to put on the three-day Conference.

◉ An internationally renowned security platform is the World Security Congress.
◉ In 1922, the International Union of Railways, also known as the Union International Des Chemins (UIC), was founded.

3. Nitin Gadkari dedicates the largest and most distinctive Divyang Park in the world.
◉ Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways lay the cornerstone for Nagpur, Maharashtra’s Anubhuti Inclusive Park, the largest and most distinctive Divyang Park in the world.
◉ This park is being created with the goal of achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inclusive society vision.
◉ This park would demonstrate empathy rather than compassion, which is why it is called Anubhuti Divyang Park.
◉ The park will offer accommodations for all 21 sorts of disabilities, including a touch-and-smell garden, a hydrotherapy unit, water treatment, a mother, and an independent space for children with mental problems.

4. The Chief Executive Officer of Indian Telephone Industries is Rajesh Rai (ITI)
◉ Rajesh Rai has been named the new Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Indian Telephone Industries (ITI) by the Union government for a period of five years.
◉ He was general manager (admin) of Mahanagar Telphone Nigam Ltd (MTNL), Mumbai, before taking over as CMD at ITI.
◉ Founded in 1948 as a departmental factory, ITI Limited is a government-owned enterprise in the telecommunications technology sector.
◉ It has production facilities at Palakkad, Rae Bareli, Naini, Mankapur, and Bengaluru.

5. Indian boxing team’s new coach is Dmitry Dmitruk
◉ The Boxing Federation of India (BFI) hired seasoned boxing coach Dmitry Dmitruk on a two-year deal to serve as India’s foreign coach.
◉ Known for his earlier work with the Irish national team and its young teams, renowned coach Dmitruk.
◉ For the past 12 years, he has been Ireland’s high-performance coach.

6. At the ISSF World Cup 2023, Rudrankksh Patil won gold in the 10m Air Rifle.
◉ In the men’s 10m air rifle competition at the ISSF Shooting World Cup in Cairo, Egypt, Rudrankksh Patil took home the gold medal.
◉ In the gold medal final, he defeated Germany’s Maximilian Ulbrich 16-8.
◉ Moreover, Varun Tomar took up bronze in the men’s 10m air pistol competition.
◉ The mixed team competition for 10m Air Pistol was won by Rhythm Sangwan.

7. 2023: Carlos Alcaraz won the Argentina Open.
◉ Carlos Alcaraz, the No. 2 tennis player in the world, defeated Cameron Norrie in the Argentina Open 2023 championship match.
◉ After Rafael Nadal in 2015, he became the first Spaniard to win the Argentina Open tennis championship.
