1. ‘Apna Chandrayaan’, a new website, was launched by Dharmendra Pradhan.
◉ Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Minister of Education, has introduced a web portal and unique lessons on ISRO’s ambitious Chandrayaan-3 mission for schoolchildren.
◉ For pupils, the website “Apna Chandrayaan” offers puzzles and quizzes that are activity-based support materials.
◉ The minister also made available 10 special modules on Chandrayaan-3, which provide a thorough overview of all of its features, including the scientific, technological, and social ones, as well as the psychological journey and sense of camaraderie among the experts engaged.
◉ One of the most significant accomplishments of the twenty-first century, according to Pradhan, that has most motivated the nation’s youth is the success of Chandrayaan-3.
2. 511 Pramod Mahajan Grameen Kaushalya Vikas Kendras were inaugurated by PM Modi.
◉ Through video conferencing, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has opened 511 Pramod Mahajan Grameen Kaushalya Vikas Kendras in Maharashtra.

3. IBM signs 3 contracts with the IT Ministry for Q-computing, Al, and semiconductors.
◉ IBM, a multinational technology company based in the US, has signed three agreements with the IT Ministry in the fields of semiconductors, AI, and quantum computing.
◉ The three Memoranda of Understanding that were signed dealt with semiconductors, aluminum, and quantum computing.
◉ In accordance with the agreement, IBM would create a semiconductor research facility in the nation and serve as a knowledge partner of the India Semiconductor Mission.
◉ By giving them access to research facilities, the semiconductor research center will also aim to improve the skills of Indian students and professionals.
◉ In addition to these, the semiconductor research center will support the development of new semiconductor technologies such as heterogeneous integration, sophisticated packaging, and logic.
4. Launch of the India Skills 2023 competition by Dharmendra Pradhan

6. India is placed 45th in the world for pensions in 2023, behind the Netherlands.
◉ The Netherlands’ retirement income system has once again taken the top spot according to the 15th annual Mercer CFA Institute Global Pension Index (MCGPI).
◉ The rankings now place Iceland in second place and Denmark in third place.
◉ The Netherlands, Iceland, and Denmark were the next three countries with the highest overall index values (85.0, 83.5, and 81.3 respectively). The index value for Argentina was the lowest (42.3).
◉ According to the 15th annual Mercer CFA Institute Global Pension Index (MCGPI), India’s overall index value increased from 44.5 in 2022 to 45.9 in 2018, placing it 45th out of the 47 retirement income systems examined. This development was primarily driven by improvements in the adequacy and sustainability sub-indices.

◉ Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited has been fined for breaking rules pertaining to “Managing Risks and Code of Conduct in Outsourcing of Financial Services by Banks”, “Recovery Agents engaged by Banks”, “Customer Service in Banks”, and “Loans and Advances – Statutory and Other Restrictions”.

8. HUDCO names Sanjay Kulshreshtha as its new CMD.
◉ Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd.’s (HUDCO) new chairman and managing director is Sanjay Kulshreshtha.
◉ Kulshreshtha currently holds the position of Executive Director at Rural Electrification Corporation Limited (REC Limited), a position he will shortly transition into as the CMD of HUDCO.
◉ For the first time since 2019, HUDCO now has a full-time CMD thanks to this position.
