1. On February 25, 2024, PM’s 110th Mann Ki Baat episode aired.
◉ The 110th episode of “Mann Ki Baat” features Prime Minister Narendra Modi honoring the outstanding achievements made by women in India.
◉ He showcases the remarkable journeys of women who are shattering stereotypes and changing lives, such as Sunita Devi, also lovingly referred to as “Drone Didi,” in honor of Women’s Day, which is quickly approaching.
◉ Women are writing the next chapter in the story of empowerment and advancement, from developing drone technology to transforming agriculture in rural areas.

2. ‘Purple Fest’ To Be Started By President Murmu For Disabled
◉ On February 26, 2024, the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment’s Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) will hold a day-long celebration of inclusivity at ◉ Amrit Udyaan in the Rashtrapati Bhawan.
◉ The Purple Fest event will be inaugurated by Smt. Droupadi Murmu, the President of India, will highlight the country’s dedication to empowerment and inclusivity.
◉ This historic event is organized by the Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya National Institute for Persons with Physical Disabilities, highlighting its importance in advancing disability rights and inclusion.

3. PM Modi Opens Five AIIMS Buildings
◉ The nation was gifted the Five All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, marking a major advancement in the country’s healthcare services and infrastructure.
◉ At the nation’s effort to improve tertiary healthcare access and quality, the AIIMS facilities at Rajkot (Gujarat), Bathinda (Punjab), Raebareli (Uttar Pradesh), Kalyani (West Bengal), and Mangalagiri (Andhra Pradesh) represent a turning point.
◉ An enormous step has been taken towards achieving India’s goal of providing affordable, high-quality healthcare to everyone with the opening of five AIIMS facilities and the start of many healthcare initiatives.

4. The PM starts Ayush Projects In Pune and Jhajjar
◉ The recent opening of two Union Ministry of Ayush institutes by Prime Minister Narendra Modi represents a major advancement in the country’s efforts to promote healthcare.
◉ The National Institute of Naturopathy (NIN), known as “NISARG GRAM” in Pune, Maharashtra, and the “Central Research Institute of Yoga & Naturopathy” (CRIYN) in Jhajjar, Haryana, were unveiled at the virtual inauguration ceremony.
◉ These institutions are well-positioned to enable people to put their health and wellbeing first thanks to their extensive infrastructure and educational offerings.

5. Prime Minister Narendra Modi opens the Sudarshan Setu Cable-Stayed Bridge, the longest in India.
◉ In Dwarka, Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated Sudarshan Setu, the country’s longest cable-stayed bridge.
◉ This enormous infrastructural project, which connects the islands of Beyt Dwarka and Okha, is evidence of the country’s dedication to development and connectivity.
◉ The construction of Sudarshan Setu, formerly called the Signature Bridge, came at a cost of ₹979 crore. With a length of 2.32 kilometers, it is the longest cable-stayed bridge in India and is an essential conduit between the Beyt Dwarka island and the Okha mainland.

6. Dubai Offers Indian Travelers A 5-Year Multiple-Entry Visa
◉ A five-year multiple-entry visa has been introduced by Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) with the intention of improving travel between India and the UAE.
◉ With India being the primary source market for tourists in the area, this program is a response to the notable rise in the number of Indian tourists visiting Dubai.
◉ After the application is accepted, the visa is completed in two to five working days, allowing the bearer to stay in the UAE for ninety days. This can be extended once for an additional ninety days, for a total of 180 days in a year.

7. The National Hydrogen Strategy of Vietnam Aims to Produce 500,000T of Clean H2 Vietnam has announced an ambitious national hydrogen plan to dominate the global hydrogen industry by 2030.
◉ The policy aims to utilize both green and blue hydrogen production methods, with targets ranging from 100,000 to 500,000 tons of clean hydrogen production year by 2030, up to 10-20 million tons by 2050.
◉ It integrates carbon-capture techniques for conventional energy sources while giving priority to hydrogen generation driven by renewable energy.

◉ Renowned Indian economist Geeta Batra has been named Director of the World Bank’s Global Environment Facility (GEF) Independent Evaluation Office (IEO).
◉ Batra’s selection is a noteworthy achievement because it makes her the first woman from a developing nation to hold this esteemed position.
◉ Geeta Batra, who is 57 years old, brings a plethora of knowledge and experience to her new role. ◉ She was the GEF’s IEO’s Chief Evaluator and Deputy Director for Evaluation before being appointed to this position.

◉ The Department of Telecommunications’ Telecom Centers of Excellence India and the Ministry of ◉ Home Affairs’ Bureau of Police Research and Development are working together to organize the Vimarsh 2023 5G Hackathon.
◉ The goal of the Vimarsh 2023 5G Hackathon was to transform Law Enforcement Agencies’ (LEAs’) methods of operation. This program aimed to investigate novel approaches and encourage creativity in the field of law enforcement.
◉ The goal of Vimarsh 2023 is to create scenarios specifically for Law Enforcement Agencies in India that take advantage of 5G and other emerging technologies.

10. Ashwin Overtakes Kumble To Take The Lead In Domestic Tests for India in Wicket-Taking
◉ Indian Ravichandran is an off-spinner. By surpassing renowned leg-spinner Anil Kumble to become the most wicket-taker in Test matches held in India, Ashwin cemented his place in cricket history.
◉ The achievement took place on the third day of India vs. England’s fourth Test match, which is currently taking place in Ranchi. With the dismissals of Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope, Ashwin’s wicket total in Test matches played in India now stands at 351. Kumble’s previous record of 350 wickets in 63 matches was surpassed by this.

11. Pankaj Udhas, the renowned ghazal singer, passes away
◉ After a protracted illness, renowned ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas passed away at the age of 72, leaving the music world in mourning. 1951 saw the birth of Udhas in Jetpur, Gujarat.
◉ During Udhas’ early career, she sang Bollywood playback songs and even experimented with Indian music. His actual love, though, was ghazals—a type of musicalized Urdu poetry.
◉ With the release of his first ghazal album, “Aahat,” in 1980, he launched an incredible career that would last for more than 40 years.
