1. Government of Telangana Unveils Robotics Framework
◉ A robotics framework has been created by the Telangana government as a road map for fostering a robotic ecosystem in the State. The nation has never seen a policy like this one before.
◉ To carry out the initiative’s key pillars of infrastructure access, business enablement, fostering research and innovation, development of a skilled workforce, and responsible deployment, the government will establish the Telangana Robotics Innovation Centre (TRIC).
◉ The framework will support an ecosystem for innovation that will assist the State in producing robots not just for the nation but also for the rest of the world.

2. Face mask with sensor created by BITS Pilani to detect illness
◉ An illness-detection face mask has been created by BITS Pilani Hyderabad researchers.
◉ The researchers created a stretchable, flexible Laser-Induced Graphene (LIG), a 3-D carbon nanomaterial, based on the ‘Kirigami’ technique for real-time attachments with surgical masks.
◉ LIG is a substance that is frequently used to track important physiological indicators such as blood oxygen saturation, body temperature, and vital indications like breath rate and respiratory rate.

3. Launch of SAKSHAM Learning Management Information System by the Ministry of Health
◉ A learning management system called SAKSHAM (Stimulating Advanced Knowledge for Sustainable Health Management) has been introduced by the Union Health Ministry.
◉ All national health professionals can access training and education in medicine online through the SAKSHAM website.
◉ Rajesh Bhushan, the health secretary, introduced SAKSHAM.
◉ The capacity building of health professionals will be inclusive thanks to this digital learning platform. More than 200 public health courses and 100 clinical courses are already available online through the platform.

4. In-water communications sensor technology is being developed by DRDO and IIT Madras.
◉ In order to create cutting-edge sensor technology for underwater communications, experts from the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) have teamed up with researchers from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras).
which will help defense applications, especially those used by the Indian Navy.
◉ The country can manufacture the gadgets at a relatively lower cost thanks to the technology’s domestic development than through the few and expensive foundries that are currently available elsewhere.
◉ To create high-performance thin films and transform piezo thin film into cutting-edge naval sensors and equipment for underwater applications, “Piezoelectric MEMS technology” is needed.

5. ‘YUVA PRATIBHA’ is released by MyGov and the Ministry of Culture.
◉ A YUVA PRATIBHA Singing Talent Hunt has been started by MyGov and the Ministry of Culture.
◉ The first round of entries for the competition will be accepted for one and a half months.
◉ India’s inhabitants have a one-of-a-kind chance to showcase their singing talent and abilities and win national fame through the Singing Talent Hunt.

6. In 2022–2023, Reserve Bank gold reserves increased 4.5% to 794.64 tonnes.
◉ In the fiscal year that concluded on March 31, 2023, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) added 22 metric tonnes of gold, bringing the total amount of gold reserves to 794.64 metric tonnes.
◉ As of March 31, 2022, RBI possessed 760.42 metric tonnes, up from 695.31 metric tonnes the previous year.
◉ According to a recent World Gold Council (WGC) report, the RBI increased its gold holdings by 7 metric tonnes between January and March 2023.
◉ In the RBI’s half-yearly report on the management of foreign exchange reserves for the period of October 2022 to March 2023, gold deposits of 56.32 metric tonnes were listed as part of the reserves as of March 31, 2023.

7. Parminder Chopra is the first woman to head the biggest NBFC in India.
◉ The next Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Power Finance Corporation (PFC), India’s largest NBFC by net value (all reserves), has been recommended by the Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) as Parminder Chopra.
◉ Chopra will hold the position of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the Maharatna Corporation for the first time ever. The PESB suggested she be named.
She has worked for the business since 2005, and since 2020 she has held the positions of Director (Finance), CFO, and member of the board of directors.

8. President Droupadi Murmu bestows 37 medals of valor
◉ During the Defence Investiture Ceremony (Phase-1) in New Delhi, President Droupadi Murmu presented 37 Gallantry awards to members of the Armed Forces, CAPF, and State or Union Territory Police.
◉ The person who showed exceptional bravery, unwavering courage, and extraordinary dedication to duty received the gallantry award.
◉ At the Defence Investiture Ceremony (Phase-1) in New Delhi, Murmu awarded the personnel of the Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces, and State or Union Territory Police with 29 Shaurya Chakras and 8 Kirti Chakras, including 5 posthumous awards.

9. BharatPe is replaced by Mastercard as the ICC’s global sponsor.
◉ The International Cricket Council (ICC) is now sponsored globally by the American multinational financial services business, Mastercard, which formerly sponsored the organization as BharatPe.
◉ The multi-year sponsorship agreement between ICC and Mastercard will last for the next 4 years.
◉ Mastercard has been pursuing lucrative sponsorship deals for the past year after Paytm granted it title sponsorship rights for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)’s domestic and international home matches.
◉ The sponsorship agreement between ICC and BharatPe, which is typically for three years, began in June 2021.
