1. India launched “Operation Dost” to assist Syria and Turkey
◉ The Indian government launched Operation Dost as a rescue effort for Syria and Turkey following earthquakes in both nations.
◉ India has sent a field hospital, supplies, and rescue workers as part of the effort to the earthquake-stricken nations of Turkey and Syria.
◉ Operation Dost is a reminder that Turkey and India are friends, and that both countries should work to improve their ties.
◉ The Indian Air Force has also sent a C17 Globemaster aircraft to the operation.

2. The 2023 World Government Summit will open in Dubai
◉ On February 13th, 2023, the World Government Summit 2023 is scheduled to get started in Dubai.
◉ “Shaping Future Governments” will be the subject of the World Government Summit.
◉ It will bring together influential decision-makers, professionals, and thinkers from around the world to share ideas and work on creating models, tools, and policies that will be crucial in forming future governments.

3. New Delhi hosts the 11th joint working group meeting between India and Mongolia.
◉ The joint working group between India and Mongolia had its 11th meeting in New Delhi.
◉ The two sides discussed how to strengthen already existing areas of collaboration and laid out concrete steps in this regard while also reviewing the status of several bilateral defense cooperation programs.
◉ Despite the limits presented by the Covid-19 epidemic, both sides of the discussion expressed satisfaction with the ongoing defense collaboration between the two nations.
◉ In 1955, India and Mongolia formally reestablished diplomatic ties. In Ulaanbaatar, the Indian Resident Mission first opened its doors in 1971.

4. Fiji will play host to the 12th World Hindi Conference.
◉ The 12th World Hindi Conference, which will last three days, will begin on February 15 in Fiji.
◉ The conference is being put on by the Fijian government in cooperation with the Indian Ministry of External Affairs.
◉ “Hindi – Traditional Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence” is the conference’s main focus.

5. A loan of $130 million from ADB was granted to advance horticulture in Himachal Pradesh.
◉ A $130 million (about Rs 1,072 crore) loan has been authorized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to increase agricultural output, farmers’ incomes, and horticultural agribusiness in Himachal Pradesh.
◉ 90% of the population of Himachal Pradesh lives in rural areas and is reliant on agriculture. More than half of the state’s land area is mountainous.
◉ Supporting horticulture value chains will help increase this sector’s contribution to the nation’s growth and food security.

7. Appasaheb Dharmadhikari receives Maharashtra Bhushan Award for 2022 Social worker and reformer “Nirupankar” Dattatreya Narayan Dharmadhikari, well known as Appasaheb Dharmadhikari, has received this honor.
◉ The same award was given to his father Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari by Ashok Chavan, who was the chief minister at the time, in 2008.
◉ In 2017, Appasaheb received the Padma Shri award.
