1. SUN Mobility and Bluwheelz collaborate to install more than 16,000 EVs.
◉ In order to deploy more than 16,000 EVs in the upcoming 12 months, battery-swapping solutions provider SUN Mobility has joined forces with electric vehicle fleet operator Bluwheelz.
◉ Over the course of the following year, the companies hope to deploy more than 15,000 electric two-wheelers and 1,000 electric three-wheelers in all major cities.
◉ With around 500 cars already on the highways in Delhi, the deployment has already begun; operations will soon begin in Bangalore and Hyderabad.
◉ SUN Mobility’s CEO is Anant Badjatya.
◉ Sanjiv Gupta is the Bluwheelz chairman.

2. Finale of the “Women and Water” Dialogue Series conducted in Prayagraj
◉ At the Boat Club House in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, the fifth and final event of the “Women and Water Dialogue Series” was held.
◉ A program called the “Women and Water Dialogue Series” was launched during the Ganga Utsav 2022 to draw attention to the crucial part that women play in the water industry.
◉ The four events in this series took place in Rishikesh, Varanasi, Kanpur, and New Delhi.
◉ All significant Ganga River towns were covered by the Women and Water Dialogue, including Varanasi, Kanpur, Delhi, and Rishikesh. Every activity had a connection to a significant holiday or occasion, which aided in fostering a sense of community.

3. The 141st International Olympic Committee Meeting was opened by the PM.
◉ The 141st International Olympic Committee (IOC) session has officially begun at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
◉ The IOC members convene during this session, which is a significant gathering.
◉ At IOC meetings, significant decisions on the future of the Olympic Games are taken. After a break of approximately 40 years, India is hosting the IOC session for the second time.
◉ The 86th IOC session took place in 1983 in New Delhi.
◉ India’s commitment to promoting international collaboration, honoring athletic prowess, and advancing the Olympic ideals of friendship, respect, and excellence is exemplified by the 141st IOC Session, which is currently taking place there.

4. The government of Maharashtra approves the creation of the Independent ST Commission
◉ Maharashtra The creation of an independent scheduled tribes commission for Maharashtra along the lines of the central government was agreed upon by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
◉ The suggestion was approved in the Mumbai meeting of the State Tribal Advisory Council.
◉ Along with this, the meeting covered a number of other topics, including the rearrangement of the state’s scheduled areas, the distribution of funding based on population, the opening of project offices in the talukas of tribal districts, and others.

5. PM lays the cornerstones for several projects totaling Rs. 4200.
◉ In the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has officially opened and set the cornerstones for a number of development projects totaling 4200 crore rupees.
◉ By implementing the Vibrant Village Scheme, the Central Government is consistently working to bring development to the border communities.
◉ In just five years, 13.5 crore people who were living in poverty were lifted out of it thanks to the government’s care for those in rural areas.
◉ Four thousand crore rupees would be spent in the state over the next five years to avert natural calamities.

6. Retail inflation decreased from 6.83% in August to 5.02% in September.
◉ According to data issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO), India’s retail inflation, as determined by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), decreased to a three-month low of 5.02% in September as a result of falling food costs.
◉ After a two-month hiatus, the inflation has returned to the Reserve Bank of India’s preferred target of below 6%.
◉ The CPI for India was 7.44% in July 2023 and 6.83% in August 2023.

◉ Along with 14 other young women leaders, teenage Indian-American inventor Gitanjali Rao has received recognition from U.S. First Lady Jill Biden for instigating change and paving the way for a better future in their local communities around the country.
◉ The International Day of the Girl was celebrated at the White House with the first-ever “Girls Leading Change” program, which honored the 17-year-old scientist.
◉ First Lady Jill honored the 15 young women leaders who had been chosen by the White House Gender Policy Council to honor their contributions to their communities.

10. Filmmaker PV Gangadharan dies at the age of 80
◉ At the age of 80, PV Gangadharan, a well-known Malayalam film producer and the editor of the Mathrubhumi group of periodicals, passed away.
◉ Gangadharan, often known by his stage moniker PVG, established himself in both politics and the film industry. The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) included him as a member.
◉ In addition to politics, Gangadharan enjoyed success in the film industry. He established his production company, Grihalakshmi Productions, and funded a number of blockbuster movies in the Malayalam film industry.
◉ He made his first movie, “Sujatha,” in 1977, and went on to make successful movies like “Angadi,” “Chiriyo Chiri,” “Ekalavyan,” and “Manassa Vacha Karmana.”
