1. With the introduction of “Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat),” PM Modi
◉ On National Unity Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the “Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat)” platform at Kartavya Path for the nation’s youth.
◉ On October 11, 2023, the Union Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Modi, made a historic decision by approving the creation of an independent organization called “Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat).”

2. For gig workers, BigBasket leads the Fairwork Index 2023.
◉ BigBasket, owned by Tata, has risen to the top, while the worst platforms for gig workers are logistics startup Porter and ride-hailing giants Uber and Ola, according to research group Fairwork India 2023.
◉ In the Fairwork India Report 2023, Big Basket, BluSmart, Zomato, Urban Company, and Swiggy received the highest ratings, with Big Basket receiving the highest overall score of six out of ten points.
◉ The “Fairwork India 2023” report states that Ola and Porter received a score of zero on a scale of 1 to 10 for meeting the minimal requirements for fair labor in the platform economy.
◉ The study assesses twelve Indian platforms that provide location-based services in areas including home and personal care, food delivery, logistics, and transportation.

3. 10 days of Uttarakhand Mahotsav have commenced in UP by the Uttarakhand CM.
◉ At Pt Govind Ballabh Pant Parvatiya Sanskritik Upvan at Gomti Bank next to Khatu Shyam mandir in Uttarakhand, the 10-day Uttarakhand Mahotsav got underway. The chief guest for the event was Pushkar Singh Dhami, the chief minister.
◉ Several groups of well-dressed men and women, decorated in traditional Uttarakhandi costumes and jewelry, flocked to the venue on the first day of the ten-day Uttarakhand Mahotsav.

4. “Run for Unity” event in Lucknow on Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary

6. GST revenue increased to 1.72 lakh in October.
◉ Through GST, the government was able to collect Rs 1,72,003 crore in October.
◉ This month’s collection is the second-highest after the Rs 1.87 lakh crore collected in April 2023.
◉ October’s gross GST revenue is 13% more than it was in the same month the previous year.
◉ Revenue from domestic transactions (including the import of services) during the month is also 13% more than revenue from these sources in the corresponding month of the previous year. As of ◉ FY 2023–24, the average gross monthly GST collection is Rs 1.66 lakh crore, an increase of 11% over the previous fiscal year.

7. As BHEL’s CMD, Koppu Sadashiv Murthy assumes leadership.
◉ Koppu Sadashiv Murthy has been named Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd.’s (BHEL) chairman and managing director.
◉ Previous to this, Koppu Sadashiv Murthy served as both the Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Pumps and Compressors Limited (BPCL) in addition to his role as Executive Director of BHEL’s Corporate Operations Management group.
◉ Koppu Sadashiv Murthy, an MBA in Finance graduate of Bhopal University with a degree in Electrical Engineering, began working for BHEL in 1989 at the company’s Jhansi production facility.

8. To head the WHO’s Southeast Asia Region is Saima Wazed.
◉ Saima Wazed of Bangladesh has been proposed as the next leader of the World Health Organization’s South-East Asia Region.
◉ Wazed is a clinical psychologist and Sheikh Hasina, the prime minister of Bangladesh’s daughter.
