1. Launch of the UAE Branch of the Business Council by the UAE and India
◉ The UAE India Business Council – UAE Chapter (UIBCUC) was established by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and India with the goal of fostering commerce and investment between the two countries.
◉ The UAE India Business Council – UAE Chapter (UIBC-UC) was officially established in Dubai by His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade.
Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, introduced it on the first anniversary of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement’s (CEPA) signing in Dubai.

2. Sagar Parikrama Phase-III was launched from Hazira Port by Parshottam Rupala.
◉ Fisheries, animal husbandry, and dairying union minister The Sagar Parikrama Phase-I opened in Gujarat’s Hazira Port by Parshottam Rupala.
◉ The government has given the development of the fisheries industry top priority due to the sector’s importance to the rural and marine economies.
◉ The fisheries and related sector’s exports have risen to 57 thousand crore rupees.
It began from Satpati, Vasai, Versova, and Parikrama in the direction of Maharashtra’s coastline and came to an end at Sasson Dock in Mumbai.

3. In Jammu, LG Manoj Sinha opened the 33rd Police-Public Fair.
◉ Kashmir and Jammu The 33rd Police-Public Mela in Jammu has been launched by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
◉ Police officers and the general public can interact and celebrate their shared heritage on a strong platform called the Police-Public Mela.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police Wives Welfare Association is in charge of organizing the event (JKPWWA).
◉ The LG also paid respects to the J&K Police martyrs who gave their lives in service and defense of the country.

4. Goa hosted the first PMGati Shakti Workshop for the Western and Central Zone.
◉ Goa hosted the inaugural PM Gati Shakti regional workshop for the Western and Central Zone.
◉ The workshop served as a forum for mutual learning between the States and Central Ministries/Departments and included talks on use cases of the National Master Plan (NMP) adoption by Central Ministries & State Departments for planning.
◉ The program was introduced on October 13, 2021, by Prime Minister Modi and combines the infrastructure plans of numerous Ministries and State Governments.

5. As UNICEF’s National Ambassador for Child Rights, Ayushmann Khurrana
◉ Bollywood The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has named actor Ayushmann Khurrana as its national ambassador for India.
◉ The 38-year-old actor formerly worked as UNICEF India’s Celebrity Advocate for eradicating child abuse and the larger cause of child rights.
◉ In order to ensure that every child’s rights “to survive, thrive, and be safeguarded, as well as supporting their voice and agency in decisions that impact them, Khurrana will assist UNICEF.

6. The National Geographic “photos of the year” award went to Karthik Subramaniam.
◉ About 5000 photos were submitted, but Indian-born photographer Karthik Subramaniam won the 2023 National Geographic “Photo of the Year” competition.
◉ His image, “Dancing of the Eagles,” which was captured at the Chilkat Bald Eagle Sanctuary in Alaska, will be on the cover of National Geographic’s May issue.
◉ He received the honor for a powerful image of an eagle trying to perch on a tree branch.
◉ The popular book “A Dance with Dragons” by RRR Martin served as the source of the image’s title.

7. During the 76th BAFTA Awards, Austin Butler was named Best Actor.
◉ The Royal Festival Hall in London served as the location for the announcement of the 76th British Academy Film Awards, or BAFTA Awards.
◉ Elvis earned Austin Butler the title of Best Leading Actor at the 76th British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) Awards in 2023.
◉ For her work in TAR, Cate Blanchett received the Best Leading Actress Award.
◉ All Quiet on the Western Front, a German anti-war movie, took home a total of seven awards, including Best Picture and Director.
◉ This film is a screen adaptation of Erich Maria Remarque’s 1928 book.

8. The start of the joint military drill “Dharma Guardian” between India and Japan
◉ The joint training exercise “Dharma Guardian” between India and Japan will take place in Camp Imazu in the Japanese region of Shiga from February 17 through March 2.
◉ The India-Japan joint military exercise “Dharma Guardian” is in its fourth year.
◉ The exercise is being participated in by members of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) and the Indian Army’s Garhwal Rifles Regiment.

◉ India commemorated the eighth anniversary of the inception of the Soil Health Card Scheme on February 19, 2023.
◉ Goal: To recall the origins of the Soil Health Card (SHC) System and to spread knowledge of its benefits.
◉ All farmers are required to get soil health cards as part of the program every two years.
On February 19, 2015, at Suratgarh, Rajasthan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the Soil Health Card (SHC) Program.
