1. The campaign “Diya Jalao, Patake Nahi” was started by the Delhi government
◉ To encourage a pollution-free Diwali, the Delhi government has started the anti-firework campaign “Diya Jalao, Patake Nahi.”
◉ The campaign’s goal is to encourage people to celebrate Diwali with diyas rather than firecrackers by discouraging them from doing so.
◉ All sorts of firecrackers are already prohibited from being stored, sold, or used in the nation’s capital until the first of January in an effort to reduce air pollution.

2. Google and the Assam Government collaborated to power digital-led learning.
◉ The Assam government and Google have agreed to work together to advance digital development and progress in the State.
◉ With the aid of digital learning tools and solutions, the state’s efforts to digitize schools are to be strengthened.
◉ Google will work with Assam’s Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship Department (SEED) as part of this new program.

3. In India, Ola introduced the Ola S1 Air, the cheapest electric scooter.
◉ The Ola Company has introduced the Ola S1 Air, its most cost-effective electric scooter, in the nation.
◉ The new electric scooter is priced at 85,000. (ex-showroom).
◉ The Honda Activa, TVS Jupiter, Suzuki Access, and Yamaha Fascino are the scooters that the new Ola electric scooter will face off against.

4. Due to the heatwave, India lost 5.4% of its GDP in income.
◉ According to the Climate Transparency 2022 report, India experienced the largest revenue loss among the G20 countries in 2021—a loss of 5.4% of GDP—due to excessive heat.
◉ The report noted that a record heatwave in India had a negative impact on employees, labor migrants, low-income households, the homeless, and wheat crop output.
◉ India contributes 3% of the world’s emissions, and according to the estimate, 10% of its population might be subjected to summer heat waves with temperatures of 1.5 degrees Celsius.

5. Third on the list of cent millionaires was India.
◉ India came in third in the first-ever global study on the rise of centi-millionaires with assets of more over Rs 830 cr ($100 million), according to the report of International Investment Migration Advisory Firm Henley & Partners.
◉ The USA comes in first on the list, followed by China.
◉ By 2032, India will surpass China as the country with the fastest-growing market for millionaires.
India boasts 1,132 of the 25,490 centi-millionaires in the globe, more than the UK, Russia, or Switzerland combined, making it the fastest-growing and most influential group of ultra-wealthy IT titans, financiers, multinational CEOs, and heirs.

6. India placed 41st on the CFS Global Pension Index for 2022, with Iceland coming in first.
◉ The Mercer CFS Global Pension Index gave India a score of 41 out of 44.
◉ According to the report, the nation needs to improve its legal system and expand the number of people covered by private pension plans.
◉ With a score of 45.7, India placed 34th out of 39 nations in 2020. The index value in 2022 was 44.4.
◉ Denmark, the Netherlands, and Iceland came out on top in the survey. Thailand had the lowest score, 41.7.

7. In India, PhonePe opened its first green data center.
◉ Using tools and services from Dell Technologies and NTT, the fintech platform PhonePe opened its first green data center in India.
◉ Advanced alternative cooling technologies including Direct Contact Liquid Cooling (DCLC) and Liquid Immersion Cooling were used in the construction and design of the 8-megawatt facility, which is located in Mahape, Navi Mumbai (LIC).
◉ This facility’s effective data security, power efficiency, and cloud technologies have created new prospects in data management.

8. Reappointed as ICICI Bank’s MD and CEO is Sandeep Bakhshi
◉ Sandeep Bakshi has been reappointed by the board of directors of ICICI Bank as the MD and CEO for another three years.
◉ Since October 15, 2018, he has served as the bank’s MD and CEO.
Prior to being named MD and CEO, he was the bank’s Wholetime Director and Chief Operating Officer (COO).
◉ From October 4, 2023, through October 3, 2026, he will be reappointed.

9. Jaxay Shah has been chosen to lead the Quality Council of India.
◉ Former CREDAI Chairman and creator of Savvy Group Chairman For a term of three years, Jaxay Shah have been named the next Chairman of the Quality Council of India (QCI).
◉ Adil Zainulbhai, who led QCI for eight years from 2014 to 2022, will be succeeded by him.
◉ Shah, who also serves as the head of the Western Region Development Council for ASSOCHAM.

10. C S Rajan has been appointed as a second independent Kotak Mahindra Bank director.
◉ C S Rajan has been added to the board of Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited as an extra independent director.
◉ The appointment of Rajan is for a five-year term beginning on October 22, 2022.
◉ Over the course of his 40 years in the administration, Rajan has held major positions.

11. Sankarasubramanian is named the Aditya-L1 mission’s Principal Scientist.
◉ Sankarasubramanian K has been named the Indian Space Research Organization’s Aditya-L1 mission’s Principal Scientist (ISRO).
◉ The first observatory-class space-based solar mission from India is called Aditya-L1.
◉ Senior solar physicist Sankarasubramanian works at Bengaluru’s U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC).

12. In June 2023, ISRO plans to launch Chandrayaan-3.
◉ According to ISRO Chairman S. Somanath, Chandrayaan-3 would likely launch in June 2023 and is almost ready.
◉ Testing and final integration are almost finished. We still need to complete a few more tests, so we want to wait a little while. There were two spots open, one in February and one in June.
◉ We’d want to schedule the launch for June 2023.
◉ In June 2023, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) intends to launch Chandrayaan-3, its third lunar mission.

13. At the ISSF World Championship, Sagar Dangi took home two medals.
◉ Sagar Dangi won gold and silver at the ISSF World Championship in Cairo, Egypt in the junior men’s 10m Air Pistol team and individual competitions.
◉ At the conclusion of day nine of the competition, India won four additional medals, one of which was gold.
◉ Bronze was won by Nancy and Sri Karthik Sabari Raj, Ravishankar in the junior mixed 10m Air Rifle team competition.
