1. Brazil will now hold the G20 presidency once India relinquishes it.
◉ To host the G20 in 2024, Brazil has taken over the B20 presidency from India.
◉ N Chandrasekaran, chair of the B20 India, stated that the Vasaudeva Katumbakam (One Earth, One Family, One Future) theme served as the foundation for India’s B20 and G20 Presidency.
◉ Worked on nine issues, including finance for the world’s economic recovery and the emergence of artificial intelligence, as well as the empowerment of women and young people.

5. The first Karnataka cultural festival is held in Sri Lanka.

7. Mansi Madan Tripathy is named as the new country chair for Shell India.
◉ Mansi Madan Tripathy has been named Shell India’s new country chair, beginning on October 1.
◉ Nitin Prasad, who has served as the nation’s chair since 2016, will be replaced by Tripathy.
◉ ‘Mansi will oversee the Shell Group of companies in India in her capacity as Country Chair of Shell India, in addition to her responsibilities as Vice President, of Shell Lubricants for Asia Pacific.
◉ Mansi will migrate from Singapore to her hometown of New Delhi to assume the position.

8. First female field director appointed to Kaziranga National Park
◉ Dr. Sonali Ghosh, chief conservator of forests, was appointed as Kaziranga National Park’s first female field director.
◉ Jatindra Sarma, the current field director, will hand over control of the park to the Indian Forest Service (IAS) officer.
◉ Ghosh is currently employed with the office of the main chief conservator of forests and head of the forest force in Guwahati as the chief conservator of forests for research, education, and working plan division.
◉ She will hold the position of director of the 118-year-old KNP for the first time ever, according to a representative of the forest department.

10. India’s men’s relay team places fifth in the world championships in athletics.
◉ When competing in their separate finals at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary, the Indian men’s 4x400m relay team placed sixth.
◉ With a time of 2:59.92, the team of Muhammed Anas Yahiya, Amob Jacob, Muhammed Ajmal, and Rajesh Ramesh finished the race.
