1. To commemorate the NCC’s 75 successful years, PM Modi released a commemorative Rs 75 coin.
◉ On the occasion of the National Cadet Corps’ 75 successful years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has presented a unique day cover and a commemorative specially made coin of Rs 75 denomination (NCC).
◉ At the Cariappa Ground in Delhi, the NCC rally was conducted to mark the 75th anniversary. At the event, 196 officers and cadets representing 19 other nations also took part.
◉ Under the National Cadet Corps Act of 1948, the NCC was established in 1948 as per the recommendations of the H N Kunzru Committee from 1946.

2. ‘Jeevan Vidya Shivir’ was held for teachers in Delhi government schools.
◉ At the Thyagaraja stadium in New Delhi, the Delhi State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has held a 5-day “Jeevan Vidya Shivir” for the teachers of Delhi government schools.
◉ The event was attended by almost 4,000 teachers from Delhi government schools.
◉ A coexistence workshop called Jeevan Vidya Shivir is based on A Nagraj’s Coexistential philosophy.
◉ The five-day Jeevan Vidya Shivir will assist instructors in strengthening their ability to identify and close any holes in the educational system.

3. Amitabh Kant, the G-20 Sherpa for India, opened the country’s first-ever Model G-20 Summit.
◉ Amitabh Kant, the G-20 Sherpa for India, officially opened the country’s inaugural Model G-20 Summit, which Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini’s Indian Institute of Democratic Leadership organized.
◉ In honor of India’s G-20 presidency and to introduce the G-20 concept to the younger generation, a two-day model G-20 summit has been arranged at the Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini campus in Uttan, close to Mumbai.
◉ The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, president of ICCR and vice chairman of Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini.
◉ Students will take on the roles of G-20 member nations during this two-day conference and engage in discussions about a range of political and social topics in four committees or tracks, including Leader Track, Sherpa Track, Civil-20, and Business-20.

4. The “Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan” initiative was started by the UP government.
◉ The government of Uttar Pradesh has started a campaign called “Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan” to help disadvantaged girls become capable and independent women.
◉ Under the Aarohini Initiative Training Programme, the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan will seek to ensure the safety and security of the 746 Kasturba Gandhi Residential Females Schools in the state’s for girls.
◉ It will be put into action in three stages.
◉ The first stage, which will begin on February 1, will involve teacher training.

5. Odessa in Ukraine was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage site in danger.
◉ Odesa was classified by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) due to the threat of Russian airstrikes.
◉ On the Black Sea, Odesa is a key port city with a rich history.
◉ The Odesa Museum of Fine Arts, which opened its doors in 1899, had a portion of its enormous glass roof and windows shattered in July 2022.

6. For a fourth year in a row, NSE overtakes all other derivatives exchanges in the world.
◉ The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE), based on the volume of contracts traded, is expected to overtake the Tokyo Stock Exchange as the largest derivatives exchange in the world in 2022, according to the Futures Industry Association (FIA).
◉ NSE has maintained first place for four years running.
◉ In terms of the volume of transactions (Electronic Order Book) in the equity segment in 2022, NSE came in third place. It was in fourth place the year prior.

7. New Vice Chief of Air Force appointed is Air Marshal AP Singh
◉ The Indian Air Force’s Vice Chief has been named as Air Marshal Amanpreet Singh (IAF).
Air Marshal Sandeep Singh was replaced by him.
◉ Currently, Central Air Command, Prayagraj’s Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief is Air Marshal AP Singh.
◉ On December 21, 1984, Air Marshal AP Singh received his appointment into the Indian Air Force’s fighter stream.

8. Aditya-L1 will launch by ISRO by June or July 2023.
◉ By June or July 2023, the Aditya-L1 mission is scheduled to launch by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).
◉ The first space-based Indian mission, Aditya L1, will observe the Sun from a halo orbit around the Sun-Earth system’s Lagrangian point 1 (L1).
◉ This mission will have a larger advantage for detecting solar activity and how it affects space weather because it has seven payloads on board to observe the photosphere, chromosphere, and the Sun’s outermost layers (the corona).
◉ The Visible Line Emission Coronagraph (VELC), the primary payload onboard Aditya-L1, was just delivered to the ISRO by the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA).
◉ The first Indian mission to study the sun scientifically is called VELC.

9. In Madhya Pradesh, the 5th Khelo India Youth Games started.
◉ In Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, the sixth Khelo India Youth Games 2022 got underway.
◉ Anurag Singh Thakur, the Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan opened this sporting occasion in Bhopal’s TT Nagar Stadium.
◉ At the opening ceremony, Shaan the singer performed. The Khelo India Youth Games’ theme song was performed by Shaan. On Narmada Ashtak, singer Neeti Mohan gave a performance.
◉ On Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, percussionist Shivamani and a group of 100 folk artists performed.
◉ Madhya Pradesh will serve as the Games’ host from January 31 to February 11, 2023.
