1. Sarbananda Sonowal signals the first international cruise liner in India to begin its domestic voyage.
◉ India’s first international cruise liner, Costa Serena, made history as it set sail from Mumbai on its inaugural journey under the flag of Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and AYUSH, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal.
◉ Thanks to the inspirational “Dekho Apna Desh” initiative of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, this historic occasion heralds the beginning of a transformative chapter in India’s cruise and tourism industry.

2. The Shree Somnath Trust has elected Prime Minister Narendra Modi as its chairman for a five-year term.
◉ Prime Minister Narendra Modi was chosen to serve as the chairman of the Shree Somnath Trust (SST) for a five-year term in a historic move. This is a major change from the trust’s custom of having a chairman for one year.
◉ The Gujarat Charity Commissioner’s approval of the decision highlights the significance of leadership and continuity in the management of the venerable Somnath temple near Veraval.
◉ Prime Minister Modi, the current chairman of the SST board of trustees, was re-elected to the role for a five-year term at the 122nd meeting of the board, which was held at Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar.

3. Workshop on India-AU Collaboration was hosted by NITI Aayog.
◉ In order to put the promises made in the New Delhi Leaders’ Declaration (NDLD), which was signed during the most recent G20 Conference, into practice, NITI Aayog and the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) collaborated to host a workshop in New Delhi.
◉ Three main areas of collaboration between India and the African Union (AU) were the focus of the workshop: migration management, sustainable infrastructure, and inclusive growth.

4. India and the UAE signed a memorandum of understanding to promote mutual educational exchanges.
◉ A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with the objective of strengthening their educational collaboration.
◉ The agreement addresses a number of topics, including academic cooperation between educational institutions in both nations, information sharing, capacity building, and student and teacher mobility.

5. An agreement on mobility and migration partnership is signed by Italy and India to promote worker and student mobility.
◉ Dr. S. Jaishankar, India’s minister of external affairs, and Antonio Tajani, Italy’s deputy prime minister and foreign minister, had a fruitful meeting in Rome.
◉ The topics of discussion included tackling global concerns, investigating potential in many sectors, and bolstering the strategic alliance between Italy and India.

◉ The International Day for Biosphere Reserves is observed globally on November 3, and it was created by UNESCO during its 41st General Conference in 2022. This event offers a chance to comprehend and value Biosphere Reserves (BR) and their role in maintaining the precarious equilibrium between nature and culture.
◉ In 2015, the UN General Assembly declared November 5 to be World Tsunami Awareness Day, with the goal of promoting public awareness of tsunamis and exchanging creative methods for risk mitigation.
