1. GI Tags are given to Miraj’s Tanpuras and Sitars.
◉ Miraj, a small town in Maharashtra’s Sangli district that is renowned for its skill in crafting musical instruments, has been bestowed with the coveted Geographical Indication (GI) tags for its sitars and tanpuras.
◉ The makers assert that some of the most well-known musicians, including those in the classical music and cinema industries, strongly demand these Miraj-made instruments.
◉ Over seven generations of craftsmen have worked to create the sitar and tanpura, two string instruments with a history dating back more than 300 years in Miraj.

2. AGEL plans to invest ₹1.5 trillion in Khavda to build the largest RE park in the world.
◉ At the Khavda renewable energy complex in Gujarat, Adani Green Energy Ltd intends to invest over ₹1.5 trillion through 2030 to build the largest renewable energy plant in the world, with a 30-gigawatt capacity.
◉ The project will add 26 GW of solar and 4 GW of wind generation capacity. It is a component of the Adani Group’s renewable energy flagship strategy, which aims to create 45 GW of installed renewable energy capacity in the nation by 2030.
◉ AGEL now operates 10.93 GW of renewable energy across 12 states, including 7.39 GW of solar, 1.4 GW of wind, and 2.14 GW of hybrid.

3. “Parivartan Chintan,” a tri-service conference, took place in New Delhi.
◉ Held in New Delhi, Parivartan Chintan was a groundbreaking Tri-Service Conference that aimed to drive Jointness and Integration efforts by creating new and innovative ideas, initiatives, and reforms.

4. US and UK Form Partnership to Improve AI Safety
◉ Amid worries about impending advanced AI versions, the United States and Britain have teamed up to support the safety precautions surrounding artificial intelligence (AI).
◉ The goal of this partnership is to jointly create sophisticated AI model testing protocols in line with promises made at the Bletchley Park AI Safety Summit.
◉ Government-run AI safety institutes are being established in both nations.
◉ The United States established its safety center in November to assess the risks posed by cutting-edge AI models, while Britain announced the establishment of its agency in October to investigate and test new forms of AI. Currently, 200 businesses and organizations work together with the US institute.

5. SIDBI and fintech company KarmaLife collaborate to provide gig workers with microloans.
◉ The fintech company Onion Life Private Limited and the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) have teamed up to deploy KarmaLife, their technological platform, for a pilot project that would give gig workers microloans.
◉ This is anticipated to facilitate the financial inclusion of gig workers into official institutional lending.
◉ Through a smartphone app, KarmaLife will make microloans accessible to gig workers and remove the burden of requiring substantial paperwork or physical evidence.
◉ Gig workers will find it simpler to handle the liquidity requirements of their firm activities thanks to this simplified method.

10. The Japanese Grand Prix is won by Max Verstappen.
◉ Max Verstappen, the triple world champion, easily won the Japanese Grand Prix, guiding teammate Sergio Perez to a commanding one-two finish for Red Bull.
◉ Two weeks ago, Verstappen was not able to finish in Australia, but two weeks ago, he started from pole position in Suzuka and won his third Grand Prix of the season, keeping him in control the entire way.
◉ Third place went to Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz, who finished ahead of teammate Charles Leclerc, who lined up seventh on the grid.
